Stripped copper kept pure

Electrostatic separation system

Redoma Recycling has expanded its product range with a cost-efficient electrostatic separation system (ESS), available in six sizes depending on capacity requirement. The ESS can separate residual fine copper (less than 0.1mm) from plastic with close to 100% purity (above).

The capacity of the ESS plant ranges from 150 to 1,350kg/hr, corresponding to an infeed capacity of mixed copper cable of 250 to 2,200kg/hr. Larger separators with capacity up to 2,000kg/hr are available on request.

Simone Lorenz Sjödahl, sales and marketing manager, said: “The ESS was a big success at IFAT in Munich. Visitors were impressed by the effectiveness and output quality of the system, and were surprised by the modest price. We noticed increased interest in cable recycling in general.”
