'Traffic signal' colours on safety gloves

Protective equipment and workwear supplier PK Safety aims to reduce vehicle reversing accidents with its Stop‘N’Go range of handling gloves, produced in collaboration with Suez R&R.

Designed for use by banksmen and reversing assistants, the gloves are coloured red on the palm and green on the back of the hand to align with hand signals suggested by the Health and Safety Executive for communicating with reversing vehicles.

The gloves were created with the specific aim of tackling the high number of reversing accidents and associated fatalities in the waste collection and transfer sectors.

They are available in a textured rubber coating called Cratex (crinkle latex) which offers improved grip and water resistance. Available in two cut levels and two levels of coating, the safety gloves cater for a wide range of tasks.
