Truck tracking success

Bourne Skip Hire (BSH), based in Peterborough, reports “all-round improvements” since installing RouteMaster vehicle and driver tracking, after a lorry was stolen almost 10 years ago.

BSH director Chris Seggie said: “We originally fitted the first AGM trackers to the fleet right after one of our vehicles was stolen. It was a logical response to the problem and, at the time, we expected it to come in handy in case of another theft. However, what started as a simple method to solve a potential vehicle theft, ended up as an integral part of our everyday business.”

The RouteMaster system allows BSH to track its entire fleet in real time while monitoring individual jobs and deliveries.

BHS can also download timesheets for individual drivers, while minute-by-minute journey details provided by the system include data regarding the way that the vehicle is being driven, including high acceleration, braking and cornering.

Cloud based and accessible from any location on a range of devices, the information can then be reviewed with drivers to help grade and improve their performance.
