Countrystyle Recycling has added the latest Mercedes- Benz trucks to a fleet that has virtually tripled in size in three years.
The Kent-based company now runs 150 vehicles.
The latest to arrive via dealer Sparshatts of Kent are all 32-tonne eight-wheelers from the Arocs range, which was designed for construction-related applications. They comprise six 3242K models with compactor bodies by Inco-Mol and a single 3243K with Hyvahook loading equipment.
They are lining up alongside 8x4 Arocs refuse vehicles and hook-loaders, as well as tractor units that work with walking floor trailers. Most of the tractors are 6x2 Actros models, with the exceptions of a handful of double-drive Arocs versions.
Commercial director Jamie Houston said: “Continued business growth means we needed more RCVs for our trade waste rounds and another hook-loader able to handle ro-ro bins with capacities of up to 40cu yards.
“The Arocs and Actros are both high-quality trucks that have proved reliable. Our drivers speak highly of them.”
