Two ELVs baled in a minute

LKM Recycling in Sittingbourne, Kent, has taken delivery of a Predator car baler which can bale and log two end-of-life vehicles in less than a minute, making it one of the most powerful machines of its kind.

The Predator comes in variations including, static, semi-mobile or fully mobile, running on diesel or electricity.

The power of the baler’s lids and the fast hydraulics achieve productivity levels of up to 400 tonnes a day.

It can be run by remote control, ideal from a crane or forklift with just one operator. It features self-loading legs for fast loading and unloading of the machine on to a trailer.

A crane and cabin turns the baler into a self-sufficient one-man operation.
