The industry has its say

Ahead of MRW’s exclusive survey of attitudes and opinions within the waste sector to be unveiled at RWM, we asked trade groups for their views.

The survey questions cover the UK waste and resource sector in general (public perceptions, impact of Brexit and leadership); waste crime and regulation; local authority collections; and packaging.

MRW editor Robin Latchem said the responses showed both interesting and unexpected results.

“Our is a pretty diverse industry, so it is always a challenge for those presuming to generalise about what the sector thinks,” he said.

“MRW readers with longer memories would recall the annual ‘State of the Nation’ reports a decade ago – this survey marks our return to testing these views.”

Meanwhile, MRW asked senior figures from trade associations and other bodies to consider the key issues ahead of RWM.
