Grundon Waste Management has bought Rabbit Waste Management’s commercial waste operations, more than doubling its collection fleet across East and West Sussex.
Rabbit’s trade waste operations will move to Grundon’s depot in Ford, near Arundel.
Its chief executive Greg Blurton said: “We had taken the trade waste business as far as we could and are delighted that along with our dedicated trade waste team it is moving to a good home at Grundon.”
Bradley Smith, Grundon’s sales and marketing director, said: “We’re delighted with this acquisition and welcome the commercial and trade waste division of Rabbit Waste Management into the Grundon family.”
In another industry deal in the south east region, Slicker Recycling has bought J Vant and its Kingsnorth hazardous waste transfer station.
Slicker Recycling says it is UK’s largest collector of waste lubricating oil and provider of waste management services to the automotive sector. J Vant provides waste oil and hazardous waste collections in the Kent and Sussex area.
