Biffa maintains Arun service

2000 biffa arun

Biffa has retained its waste and cleansing partnership with Arun District Council by agreeing a new three-year contract.

The contract, with an option for a further three years, has an annual value of around £5m.

Biffa’s 118 staff and 44 vehicles have provided household recycling and waste collections, along with street and beach cleansing services, for the council since 2003.

Dan Cox, interim cleansing operations manager at Arun, said: “The Biffa team has provided reliable, effective and efficient waste and street cleansing services for well over a decade, and we look forward to more of the same.”

Roger Edwards, managing director of Biffa’s municipal division, praised the professionalism, flexibility and commitment of the staff.

“We’re delighted that the district’s residents will continue to receive quality waste and cleansing services from us for at least the next three to six years.”
