Around 80 firefighters have been called to a fire at a Beckenham warehouse run by textile recycler Chris Carey’s Collections.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called out at 8.21am on 27 March. Twelve fire engines attended the premises on Cricket Lane.
An LFB statement said part of the single-storey warehouse was alight and the cause was not yet known.
Station manager Lee Sparks said: “A large quantity of clothing is alight and the fire had spread to the roof of the building.
“Fire crews have been working hard to bring the fire under control.”
Chris Carey’s Collections declined to comment when contacted by MRW.
