Mat Crocker, former head of the Environment Agency’s (EA) campaign against waste crime, has joined the 360 Environmental consultancy as an associate.
Crocker (pictured) has only just left the agency after a 27-year career that culminated in him being deputy director of waste and illegals for the past five years.
He will offer the consultancy an experienced perspective of EA expectations across compliance and waste management issues.
Phil Conran, director and founder of 360, said he was “extremely excited by the opportunities that Mat’s association will provide us to help businesses meet the ever increasing and complex requirements of waste legislation”.
Crocker said: “I am really looking forward to working with 360 as a principled and progressive business that I have seen apply high standards of regulatory compliance and, as a consequence, has an excellent reputation in the sector.”
360 Environmental was formed in 2007 and specialises in providing compliance support to the waste and recycling sector, industry and the public sector.
Crocker’s final public appearance in the EA was at RWM, where he said he was leaving “a brilliant job” and an agency that was better organised to tackle waste crime and to regulate the waste industry
