The millionth bale, specially wrapped in gold plastic, was produced and collected from Associated Waste Management (AWM) in Leeds and will be delivered to SWB in Bremen by haulier TrailerTrans.

AWM also supplied Andusia with its first tonne. Since 2010, AWM has produced 1.3 million tonnes of RDF to the industry.

Andusia was launched in 2012 and has become one of the UK’s largest independent exporters of RDF.

SWB operates two energy-from-waste plants in Bremen. Michael Bartels, from SWB’s international sales deivision, said: “Andusia is a strong and credible supplier. With the directors having plenty of experience between them, we can always rely on Andusia to provide not only the best market knowledge, but also service.

”We’re proud to be involved in this milestone for Andusia.”
