Manchester-WRAP partnership launched

2000 trafford household collections 3

Resource Greater Manchester (RGM), a partnership between the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority and WRAP, has been officially launched in a bid to drive the region’s recycling rate to 60% by 2025.

Localised information and support will be offered as part of efforts to achieve a more consistent approach to household collections.

A regional version of WRAP’s recycling behaviours tracker will be used alongside Recycle Now’s segmentation model, where households are given information and advice specifically suited to their individual needs.

Waste and recycling data from across the region’s nine district councils will be analysed to find the best way for Greater Manchester to achieve its 60% target.

This is WRAP’s second regional partnership, following Resource London, the 2015 tie-up with the London Waste and Recycling Board.
