This year could be one of the most important for the waste and recycling industry, and MRW wants to hear your views.
The general public and politicians are focusing on our sector like never before. Plastics and food waste, energy from waste, recycling rates and household collections have become regular topics debated on primetime TV.
We are conducting an online survey with the backing of RWM, the UK’s largest and most important industry show. The results will be used to inform debates at this year’s show in September.
A big concern last year was a perceived lack of Government leadership. But this year, Whitehall has indicated it will publish a resources and waste strategy in September, the first of its kind for many years. Announcements have also been made on setting up a deposit return scheme and tackling plastic waste.
The industry will need to get its voice heard above the din. MRW’s Industry Insight survey is a unique opportunity for all players within our sector to say what they think, and to be reported in a fair an even-handed way.
