Jochen Behr has been named as head of recycling at packaging and recycling firm DS Smith, shortly after Jim Malone announced he was to leave.
DS Smith said it was “delighted” that Behr would be joining the management team from 27 February and will report to chief executive Colin McIntyre.
He moves from CHEP Europe, a logistics solutions company, where he was head of European and global strategy responsible for growth.
Malone (pictured) is to leave DS Smith to pursue other career interests after being with the company for nearly 20 years, the last two as head of recycling.
In a statement the company said: “Jim has played a significant part in the growth of DS Smith Recycling over the last 18 years, and DS Smith would like to thank him for his contribution to the business. We wish him all the best for the future.”
