The Resource Association has appointed two new leaders, with Robbie Warden of UPM (pictured) elected chair and Eric Randall of Bryson Recycling the vice-chair.
Both were chosen unanimously at the association’s annual general meeting in Birmingham on 23 May.
A seven-strong board of directors was also elected at the AGM, with Paldeep Bhatti of Kent Resource Partnership added to the board, replacing Sam Reeve of Resource Futures.
Retiring chair Peter Clayson, who continues on the board, thanked his colleagues and the executive team for their “unstinting support”.
He said: “These haven’t been easy times for the recycling and reprocessing industries, but we have continued to make the case for quality recycling, more consistency in household collections and establishing the importance of reprocessor quality specifications, reminding the supply chain that hig- quality recycled products need consistency and quality in feedstock.
“I wish Robbie and Eric all the best in taking the association into the next phase.”
