More paper is recycled

Saica Natur reports significant investment at its Croy depot in Scotland.

Investment in a new paper sorting line means that mixed paper collected by local authorities can be separated on the line at a rate of 15 tonnes an hour. The investment has also seen new on-site facilities at the depot and an extra collection vehicle.

Keith Verden-Anderson, Scotland plant director for Saica UK, said: “This investment shows the confidence we have in our Croy site. It is vital that paper mills are provided with the correct type of paper, and for councils to be able to efficiently sort recycled paper to meet their environmental targets.

“The new line has allowed us to expand our team, and we have taken on four new people as a result of the investment.”
