More plastic is recovered

Plant designer Stadler Engineering recently hosted an open day to showcase Eco Plastics’ sorting facility in Hemswell, Lincolnshire.

The plastic recycling facility, which is the largest in Europe, has undergone a further upgrade to increase the amount of material recovered.

Stadler has incorporated an additional near infra red sorter and revised its design to allow for an additional 3-4% more plastic to be recovered.

The Eco Plastics plant now has an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes sorting into in 11 streams of plastic recyclate.
