Organics divided for use

Kiverco has installed a waste screening plant at Envar’s organic waste treatment site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, which helps the site to process 105,000 tonnes of food and green waste a year.

The custom-made plant splits material into different fractions that can be used and diverted from landfill.

It incorporates a significant number of elements: a large capacity dosing hopper, oversize vibrating waste screen, combi- waste screen, density separators, magnetic belts, picking stations, de-stoner belts, control room, generator, fuel tank and various conveyors. All this to produce a PAS 100 and CQP-certified soil conditioner.

Colin Speller, Envar managing director, said: “The installation of the Kiverco plant has contributed considerably to the increased operation of our site as more waste is recycled and processed. The scale of the plant and its multiple elements make it a valuable asset for Envar.”
