Reinforced buckets

A Volvo package of six L110H loading shovels has been specified by Gorrel Equipment Solutions, part of the Walters Group, for a long-standing hire contract in the glass recycling industry.

Nigel Chilcott, Gorrel general manager, said: “The machines are expected to work 24 hours a day, so it is essential we can rely on their performance and uptime.”

The loading shovels have been supplied with standard boom configuration, hydraulic quick fits and bespoke 3.2cu m high-tip buckets which have been strategically re- inforced with weld to counter the abrasive nature of glass cullet.

The machines have also been specified with Goodyear RL5K heavy-duty tyres to prevent punctures, reversible fans and Loadrite weighing devices.
