Together with Jarshire, distributor for UK/Ireland, two-ram baler manufacturers Harris and IPS will be exhibiting on the same stand for the first time outside America at RWM 2015. Harris purchased IPS in 2014, and shortly afterwards appointed Jarshire, IPS’s existing sales distributor, to represent both ranges.
Harris/IPS and Jarshire will focus their presence at the show on their range of two-ram balers, over 100 of which are in operation in the UK and Ireland. On offer is a wide range of two-ram balers including ‘entry level’ 40 HP machines for throughputs of around 2-4 tph depending on material, extending to 200 HP wide-box machines capable of handling over 50 tph.
Of particular interest to processors of multiple or more difficult grades is the option of a pre-compression lid, available on many machines in the range. Depending on grades, the lid is proven to provide a dramatic increase in production rates, as well as reducing wear on liners and knives.
For customers looking for maximum output across a wide range of materials, the IPS/Harris BT model incorporates an extended bale chamber that allows a bale to be ejected while the next is being made. Available with either 100 HP or 200 HP power-packs, throughputs in excess of 50 tph for some materials are claimed for this machine.
Harris/IPS also offers a comprehensive range of open- and closed-end horizontal balers, as well as shears, shredders and balers for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
P&L Software System is launching a ‘cutting-edge’ waste management software package at the show. According to the developers, the new system has been several years and thousands of development hours in the making. The finer details are being kept under wraps until the official show launch, so visitors will have to visit the stand to find out more and get a demonstration. P&L says the new offering can be tailored to create a bespoke solution specific to your business requirements, whether you are a waste producer or a traditional waste management company.
GGR Group has a range of zero emissions machines and will be showcasing two of the stars of its fleet at RWM. Measuring only 93cm wide, the Galizia G20 is one of the lightest pick and carry cranes available on the market designed to pick, carry and place loads up to 2 tonnes in restricted environments. Although the crane features 180° hydraulic steering and rear brakes as standard, GGR Group has boosted the safety features of the G20 model with the addition of new electromagnetic front brakes.
The new brakes help shorten the stopping distance of the crane and reduce the free running effect when carrying a load, making the G20 crane ideal for working on the edge of platforms or on gradients up to 7%. Other safety features include a digital safe load indicator and overload alarm, which, when combined with the new electromagnetic front brakes, helps to prevent the crane from tipping over, giving customers that extra reassurance they need on site.
It is also showing the UNIC battery powered Eco-095 model that provides fume-free lifting in sensitive environments. The spider crane is powered by a rechargeable 48v battery with no diesel emissions impacting on the surrounding atmosphere. Measuring just 750mm wide, the Eco spider crane is designed for interior access and retains all the lifting power of standard models without compromising on operational efficiency.
Materials handling equipment brand Hyster has introduced an advanced cooling system to extend run time and enhance dependability in extreme operating environments such as paper manufacturing and recycling.
The new ’Cool Truck’ package uses a hydraulically driven and automatically reversing fan, which minimises the need for truck cleaning and reduces the possibility of engine overheating cleaning, thereby decreasing lost productivity and enhancing return on investment. The truck can run an entire shift without having to stop and cool off, even in high ambient temperatures.
ISB Global has launched the Resource Information Data Exchange (RiDx) - is a collaborative web portal built on Outsystems agile platform, branded ‘SmartWorld’ by ISB Global. It acts as an ‘innovation layer’ for flexible mobile and web communications. RiDx allows companies to instruct and transact, with real time information on material and asset lifecycle. RiDx is available online, with any device, any operating system.
ISB Global is an SAP software and technology partner who have developed a pre-integrated add on, Waste & Recycling One, for SAP Business One. ISB Global already serves a number of clients in the sector, including plastic recyclers, organics and electronic reprocessing, materials logistics and transport companies in the UK, Europe, Central and North America.
The RiDx innovation layer is already in use by several of ISB Global’s customers who use RiDx / SmartWorld to instruct ‘downstream’ partners in the supply chain job order to move materials from collection to recycling. The software provides an integrated solution that manages the entire process through operations, collaboration, and traceability, accounting and banking.
Show visitors can see the software in action at the stand.
