Saving water on gully cleansing

The UK Highways network needs a new approach to affordable gully cleaning. The usual approach is the deployment of jetvac units, with limited flexibility and up to 20% of the working day lost due to the need to draw water.

But working in collaboration with JHL, Sapphire Utility Solutions’ CityRECycler 206 is a compact, ‘first time resolution’ recycler.

It offers full gully cleansing capability from a small versatile unit, and can operate in restricted spaces. The unit comes with fuel-saving technology that reduces the revolutions of the engine and pumps to the minimum level required for the job.

Equipped with a 6cu m tank, a payload of 5.2 tonnes and a jetting capacity 207litres/min at 160bars, the unit has a rear-mounted, remotely controlled boom with jets and offers full recycling. It reduces clean water usage by 32% and waste to landfill by 18%.
