Sweeper sector first to fit cycle safety warning system

Rochester-based MW Sweepers has become the first sweeping company in the country to fit the Cyclear cyclist safety warning device to its vehicle fleet.

Seven MW Sweepers vehicles are now fitted with RX3 hard disk recording, reversing radar and Cyclear from vehicle safety technology specialist Innovative Safety Systems. MW Sweepers has committed to fitting the equipment as standard to any additions to the fleet.

Mike Walsh, MW Sweepers director, says: “More and more customers are asking for pedestrian and cyclist safety features, and we believe this kind of equipment will be standard in a few years’ time.”
