Supported by the marketing team, it tenders for and wins major contracts before working closely with satellite sites and logistics teams to deliver on these. The team is also supported by the finance and IT teams to ensure consistent delivery of services.
Recycling Lives’ business comprises waste management solutions for all sectors; state-of-the-art recycling machinery; nine nationwide sites; national waste brokering services in skip hire and scrap car collection; a car salvage and scrappage business; and compliance schemes for legal obligations around waste.

The Recycling Lives team has achieved significant results. It has delivered a 47% growth in sales to £46m in 2016/17; increased recycling rates and secured rebates on commodities for clients; assured social value through its charitable programmes; and prevented around 120,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions for the environment by returning recycled metals to market.
