Technology news - 10 May

German shredder manufacturer Erdwich Zerkleinerungssysteme showed its new M800 single shaft technology that automatically rejects foreign materials securely and efficiently at the IFAT exhibition in Munich (5-9 May).

The shredder can be used for almost any material and can also be installed into existing plant.

Florian Böhm-Feigl, engineer and project manager at Erdwich Zerkleinerungssysteme said: “Our aim was to develop a machine with a mechanism that is unique in the market, which is why we have focussed on the foreign materials. Our equipment now automatically ejects these components up to a size of 250 x 250 x 250 mm during on-going operations.”

The M800 is designed for high output levels, and can process almost all materials from chips through to electronic scrap. Due to the low infeed edge, even bulky objects, such as intermediate bulk containers can be shredded.

The design of the blades is flexible depending on the material to be shredded. Lengths of 1370, 1710 and 2050 mm and a cutting disk diameter of 520 mm are possible.
