Technology news - 22 March

Bio Base Europe’s pilot plant in Ghent, Belgium, has been selected by the European Commission as a demonstrator for multi Key Enabling Technologies (KETs), considered to directly or indirectly stimulate competitiveness and generate jobs, growth and wealth.

Bio Base’s plant allows the development, scaling up and custom manufacturing of bio-based processes and products. It is accessible to companies and research institutions throughout the world.

The Commission wants to invest in KETs to enable the shift to a low carbon, knowledge-based economy, ensure the competitiveness of European industries and the creation of jobs.

Bio Base Europe will map out its knowledge, organise monthly guided tours for interested parties and host workshops to give an insight to its daily operations.
