Poundfield Products has supplied 260 units of its Alfabloc retaining wall system at a recycling centre being established by Tippers ‘R’ Us of Kesgrave, Suffolk.
The 3.05m high Alfablocs, one of a range manufactured by Poundfield, are being used to provide a series of bays to store products including construction and demolition waste, as well as crushed materials and recycled stone and sands once a new washing plant comes on stream.
Tippers ‘R’ Us owner Guy Nicholls said the Alfabloc system was chosen mainly for its ability to be easily reconfigured to suit the business as it expands, but also for its appearance compared with other storage methods.
Alfabloc retaining walling is designed to be freestanding for most applications, and is cast at a width of 1.2m in heights from 1.22 to 6m. The interconnecting system provides a structurally efficient walling system requiring a solid base to sit on, and can be loaded on one or both sides.
