Wet or dry spillage collection

What is your product?

The UK-built FVP 25 is a heavy-duty portable vacuum loader, available from Industrial Blower Services (IBS), used for site cleaning. It quickly vacuums up any type of spillage including wastes, recoverable product, glass cullet, powders, dusts or any materials that will travel along a flexible hose.

How does it work?

A vacuum is created within a sealed one-tonne capacity container. The vacuum pulls the collected wastes through a flexible hose into the easily emptied container. This provides dustless waste collection across distances of more than 40m.

Where would it ideally be used?

Within any MRF, recycling or manufacturing operation where conveyor or process spillages occur. The vacuum loaders will also collect settled dusts and light material resting on high surfaces. The vacuum loaders excel when site equipment requires deep cleaning before servicing or repair.

How is it different?

By using a roots-type blower to produce a higher power vacuum, potential blockages are overcome. Wet or dry materials can be collected with ease. The vacuum loaders are built from 5mm steel to withstand misuse.

What benefits does it offer?

Excellent filtration gives dust- free collection, along with the ability to clean in areas inaccessible to brush and shovels. There is now no need to use compressed air to blow dust from such areas. High power enables a wide range of materials to be collected. The large capacity container means fewer trips for emptying.

Where has it been used?

In materials reclamation and recycling facilities of all types, biomass plants, wood pellet manufacturers, incinerators, cement kilns, glass works, particle board manufacturing, quarries and tarmac plants.

Cost?

The units are competitive in the marketplace and when their potential long life is compared with low-cost imported units that have short lives. They can be bought outright or hired for a minimum of two weeks, with lower charges for longer term hires.

What about maintenance?

The filters generally need changing twice a year and the vacuum producer oil level needs checking weekly. IBS can offer a regular service maintenance scheme using its own service teams.

What is its life span?

IBS expects a 12-15 year life from them. The machines are built using 5mm steel and use high-quality components.

How is it future proofed?

The vacuum loaders can be can be electrically uprated to meet forthcoming standards. The EU has plans to eliminate sweeping with brushes wherever practicable, and FVP 25 units offer the ideal solution to that proposal.

Can you offer any other machines?

IBS’s wide range of vacuum loaders varies in collection rates from 2-3 tonnes per hour to 10-12 tonnes per hour. Useful ancillary items such as pre-separator skips and bottom discharge hoppers with specialist operator tools are available.

Anything else?

The company can offer on-site demonstrations, practical advice and experienced staff.
